LIKE A SQUAD OF CREEPY CUPIDS, BLIND LEMON PLEDGE LEADS
* 2/2 (Groundhog Day) 7-10pm. Travis Marina Bar at the Presidio Yacht club, Horseshoe Cove, Fort Baker, Sausalito.
Well, guess what? Our fearless leader Blind Lemon turns (mumble...grumpf) years old this Valentine's Day. So all this month, rumor has it, he will be dressed in a Cupid costume with little pink wings for all of our shows. If that doesn't sound wonderful then we don't know what will!
Back to reality...
We have a couple of exciting new venues this month and we hope you will drop by and check them out.
On 2/12 we will be headlining with Bourbon Therapy and Quake City Jug Band for a great evening of Americana, Blues, AltCountry and good ol' fashioned Jug Band music in a special show at Brick and Mortar. We are hoping we can get fans of all 3 bands down there to fill those seats and make it a fun evening. It ought to be entertaining with something for all kinds of roots music tastes.
On 2/24, Fiddlin' Cal Keaoola and Blind Lemon will be doing the duet thang at Wine and Waffles, a really interesting restaurant in Alameda with a waffle based menu. This is our first official gig there (although Pistol Pete and Blind Lemon did fill in for a cancellation earlier in January this year).
Our regular residency gigs have switched their spot in the calendar. Cheers, the fun bar in Pacifica, will now host us on First Sundays for the rest of 2017. And Moroccos in Mountain View is now presenting us on First Tuesdays. These are both fine places to catch us live.
On a another note, Blind Lemon's side project, The Good Intentions, is bringing its unique blend of Gospel and Spiritual music to the Bay Side Park Retirement Community later this month. We are hoping to be increasing our gigs around the bay. Check us out at: goodintentionsgospel.com.
Blind Lemon is finishing up his album of Americana music and it is due for an April 3 release. More to come...
