I SAW GEEZERS KISSING SANTA CLAUS!
Can you believe it? Another year almost gone. And we are older but definitely not wiser! We have a cornucopia of gigs under the blues Christmas tree. Hope to see you there.
* 12/8 8-11pm. Wine and Waffles, 1505 Park St, Alameda
We have some old favorites as well as some brand new venues this month.
Fiddlin’ Cal and Blind Lemon return to Wine and Waffles in Alameda for another duet evening in this interesting waffle oriented restaurant. This is followed by our long term residency at the Green Tortoise hostel.
Pistol Pete and Blind Lemon are appearing as a duo on 24th Street as part of the Noe Valley Winter Festival. We have another appearance at the Travis Marina Bar. This is a great place to see us…beautiful view, nice dance floor and well poured drinks.
On the 23rd, we are appearing as a trio at Café St. Jorge. This charming little café will be hosting us in an evening featuring 2 sets of Blind Lemon’s award winning original songs.
Then we return with the full band to Ocean Ale House. Another great venue to check us out, have some good eats and drinks.
We have had some exciting news from our recent gig at Chez Marius. We had a great gig there in November and they have asked us to come back for a monthly “residency”. From now until further notice, Blind Lemon Pledge will be playing every last Tuesday of each month. We will be appearing in our trio configuration which, for this event, includes vocal/guitar, violin and bass. And we will be presenting our usual repertoire of blues classics, old-time jazz, re-imagined pop and rock songs, and award winning original tunes.
Our next appearance is Tuesday 12/26 at Chez Marius, Chez Marius, 4063 24th St., San Francisco. This will be replacing the New Year’s Eve gig we were originally scheduled for. And in fact the restaurant is not open that evening after a change in plans.
This is a charming little French Bistro with great food, great wait staff, and of course the music of Blind Lemon Pledge! Hope to see you there. Please remember to check us out at: www.blues.james-creative.com.
